Carnelian Ventures was founded by Sunny Dandapantula — a builder and operator who believes great companies and meaningful impact are not mutually exclusive. Rooted in a lifelong passion and propensity for the arts, Sunny began his career building and supporting nonprofits dedicated to improving access to arts education, developing a firsthand understanding of what mission-driven organizations require to survive and grow. Under the mentorship of a passionate founder and philanthropist, he continued work scaling mission-driven organizations before co-founding a venture aimed at eliminating barriers between patients and clinical trials. These experiences revealed a truth to Sunny that became the foundation for Carnelian: the distance between a great idea and real-world impact is rarely about the idea itself — it's about the right support, relationships, and capital arriving early enough to actually matter.

Today, Carnelian is a team of young professionals, experienced operators, and trusted advisors united by a common belief: that great organizations do not just survive — they scale, and they do so without sacrificing the mission that made them worth building in the first place. We work across the full spectrum — from nonprofits and for-profit ventures to technology companies, healthcare organizations, and financial institutions — and everything in between, from founders solving local problems to companies with global ambitions.
